#WhatIlearnedtoday (9/9/2020)
While in college, and I was just introduced to the concept of Literary Analysis this week, and on the one hand, I find it quite complicated and challenging to control how to analyze text.
So I'm looking to incorporate some other concepts I learned this week to make text analysis easier. I questioned what would it be like to combine "Data analysis" + "Data visualization" + "Some concepts of network science" or, in other words, how to break up a text? Compose multiple components into different sub-elements, and seek to examine the relationships between them.
For example, considering a text element is a "Entity", we can examine the relationship between different "Entities". And visualizing relationships using mathematical concepts:
- (Entity 1) / (Entity 2) = Compare
- Analysis (Entity 1) ↔ (relationship) ↔ (Entity 2) ==> Analyze (relationship) = meaning
- (Entity 1) + (Entity 2) = Sum
- (Entity 1.0); (Entity 1.1); (Entity 1.2) ... = Pattern
Here is my mindmap about this ideal
(Note: This is just an idea. I am still researching and developing more on this knowledge)
